Situation

This insurance company was placing more importance on the need for strengthened corporate communications – internal, public relations, and corporate social responsibility. As the number of positions grew within this group, business needed to be conducted in a more formalized, efficient and consistently professional way. To help do this, there was a re-focus on becoming “brilliant at the basics” - developing processes and templates that would support the day-to-day business activities.

Approach
  • Identify those aspects of “brilliant at the basics” that were important to Corporate Communications Group and their stakeholders
  • Identified gaps for more in-depth understanding
  • Collect standing templates from within and outside company as a starting point
  • Draft customized templates and processes and refine with input / finalize
  • Conduct workshop with Corporate Communications Group, highlighting importance of building on this foundation
Results
  • Corporate Communications Group continues to utilize and update the templates and processes
  • Less “reinventing the wheel”
  • More complete briefings and information
