Divestiture of Business Unit
Situation
A large financial services organization was divesting a business unit that provided a critical service to some of the other business areas. Employees in the divested unit would be faced with job changes. The internal clients were expected to consolidate their business with the selected external vendor, even though some business areas had developed business relationships with other vendors.
